The Traverse City Junior Golf Foundation provides children the opportunity to participate, learn and grow by playing golf. The Foundation provides lessons, scholarships and supports the TCJGA In-School Golf Program. We invite you to join our 'Drive for Junior Golf' campaign so we can continue providing these oportunities.
Tournament Program
During the spring and summer of 2010, the TCJGA will hold 69 junior tournaments
in seven different divisions
of competition for boys and girls ages 18
and under, plus a collegiate division
Lesson Program
The TCJGA Junior Golf Lesson Program held 15 lesson sessions during
the 2010 season for boys and girls
ages 5 through 15.
The Traverse City Junior Golf Association
first "teed-off" in the summer of 1984.
Since that time, the association has offered
instruction and competitive programs to
thousands of junior and collegiate golfers.
Most are from northwestern Michigan, but
many come from all areas of the state and
beyond. Membership in 2009 was over 393 juniors.
In this program, golfers, from age 5 to 22, develop their game, learn etiquette, and gain self-confidence while playing and practicing on the finest golf facilities in the state.
It is the goal of the Traverse City Junior Golf Association to continue providing new and current junior players with a program recognized by many as the finest in the Midwest.
